About Brookhaven Rail LLC

Brookhaven Rail LLC is the developer of the proposed Solid Waste Rail Transfer Facility in Yaphank, including its warehouses and distribution operations. The company is a Class 3 short line railroad that is licensed by the federal Surface Transportation Board (STB). Brookhaven Rail currently provides common carrier rail services to distribution operations in Brookhaven. The membership interests of the railroad were acquired by Shamrock Rail, a Winters Bros. affiliate, on May 12, 2020, and Brookhaven Rail will eventually operate under the Shamrock Rail name. Once developed, the Winters Rail Terminal will be owned and operated by Brookhaven Rail LLC. It will provide rail car delivery, switching services and perform other common carrier and private railroad operations at the facility.

Jimmy Winters is the Senior Vice President of Winters Bros. Waste Systems. He has 40 years of hands-on operational and managerial experience in the waste management and recycling industry.

Will Flower

Will Flower is the Senior Vice President of Winters Bros. Waste Systems. He joined the company in 2015 after working for the Environmental Protection Agency and a national waste and recycling company.
